Pics of 1968 AMX: 6/2/21-6/3/21

These couple of days were pretty busy. Brian and I got the new Moser axles all assembled and placed in the axle housing, got the brake parts put on, and took out the transmission. The most important thing we figured out, however, was that the car had been in a wreck before. The front core support had large amounts of damage covered up by a quarter inch of Bondo (yay...). It seems that one of the previous owners had used copious amounts of silicon bronze and a plasma torch to "repair" the core support, leading to massive structural weakness and a high likelihood of the front bumper simply falling off due to it's own weight. I didn't know it yet, but this would lead to a lot of pain, trouble, and bills.

Side note: that '56 Chevy pickup is to DIE for. I heard that it was souped-up beyond belief, with a custom frame, hand-stitched leather interior, lovely paint job, and plenty of power.
